I’m excited to share with you the world of the SHAKARRI, and invite you to muse with me on what our world would be like today if we all understood each other as well as these tigers and their host.

R. E. St. Denis retired to Vancouver Island after a fulfilling career as an engineer, where he learned to question (and quantify) everything. His imagination and inquisitiveness, however, never retired, and while exploring the awesome natural beauty and ruggedness of his new home — hiking glacier-capped mountains and paddling the Salish Sea — he imagined the world of the Shakarri.
Of his post-retirement accomplishments, he is proud to have competed at the International Dragon Boat Club Crew competition in Australia, earning with his team two gold and three silver medals. When not writing, Ray enjoys exploring local forests, live music and micro-breweries. Lethal Tattoos is his first novel; Ray went on to write two sequels: Tiger Man and The End of the Beginning. A fourth and final novel, The Praetorians, is in progress.
